Oriental Festival Denmark is a festival that celebrates the diversity within oriental dance and music. Both when it comes to style and levels. Here, both the new dancer and the top professional are more than welcome on stage.
It's not just something we say to make it sound nice. It is the bane of our existence and a pervasive attitude to how the entire festival is organized and run.

Generelle informationer
Festivalen foregår med orientalsk dans som omdrejningspunkt. Der vil både være en række workshops, hvor du har mulighed for at fordybe dig i dansen. Der vil også være et varieret og spændende sceneshow, hvor både den professionelle og ny-danseren optræder. Til showet finder du bazarboder, hvor du kan finde kostumer, træningstilbehør. og andet godt en mavedanser kan drømme om.
Der vil i år også være fællesspisning kl. 18.00, hvor Samværkets kok vil lave en fuld vegetarisk buffet til os. Du kan tilkøbe spisning i tilmeldingen.

We've moved the festival to a new venue in Kolding.

Festivalen gennem tiden
The festival is organized in a collaboration between organizer Amanda Salma and the association Ofelia
Ofelia is the festival's mascot and the face of the support association. The purpose of the association is, among other things, to book rooms, apply for funds, sponsorships and find collaboration partners.
2022

The 2022 festival spread its wings again after shutdowns and restrictions and very appropriately focused on the theme of Community in Dance via #togetherwedance.
This years guest star was Katya Kiipli from Ireland. An international oriental dancer, costumedesigner, choreographer and organizer of the festival Raks Ireland.
2021
Corona-restrictions send the 2021 version into the virtual universe. This year guest stars Orientalsk Eldorado handled the virtuel with bravour.
As something new, a theme is introduced for the festival and in 2021 the focus is on Body Positivity with #itssupposedtojiggle.

2020
A new Danish festival sees the light of day. Oriental Festival Denmark takes place for the first time in collaboration with Fredericia Mavedanser Forening.
The great Azad Kaan from Turkey gives both workshops and performs at the Sunday show.
